Where we are:

Sosua is a small charming village located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, just 10 minutes east of the Puerto Plata International Airport. Sosua is surrounded by nature's most beautiful resources: majestic mountains, lush green valleys, and pure white sand beaches with clear emerald waters. Northern Coast Aquasports is conveniently located on the main street of Sosua (No. 8 Pedro Clisante Street), a short 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach of Playa Sosua. We also have a watersports Center in Hotel Sosua by the Sea, right on the beach and an outlet in the Mangroves Lagoon at Rio San Juan. Our friendly multi-lingual staff is always ready and willing to help you

Hours:

The dive shop is open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We schedule 4 morning boat dives, 2 afternoon boat dives and night dives.

Why we started this adventure:

Brad Gorden is from Springfield, Missouri and his wife Patricia Gorden is originally from Metz, France.

"We came to this island in 1988. We fell in love with the charm and warmth of the Dominican Republic's north coast where the beauty is unspoiled and the people are happy and friendly. The pace is unhurried and the climate is gentle.

We enjoyed the lifestyle here and knew other adventurous souls would too. However, we had to put organization at work without compromising the beauty and unhurried, laid-back atmosphere people are looking for while on a diving vacation.

So, we decided to open a dive center that we would own and operate ourselves where CUSTOMER SERVICE, QUALITY and SAFETY are number 1. We decided to offer divers the same experiences we had always looked for.

The adventure continues:

After 18 years in bussiness Brad and Patricia decided to hang up their diving gear and

take on some new challenges and so I, Colin Williamson, was given the chance to

take over the dive center.

Colin Williamson is originally from Manchester in the United Kingdom.

" I started my diving career with Northern Coast Aquasports, S.A. and after my first

time experience I just kept coming back to the beautiful Dominican Republic and to

Northern Coast Aquasports, S.A. for my diving holidays. With the friendly and helpful

staff I did all my PADI certifications up to Dive master level.

In February 2006 I decided to leave cold and rainy England and move to the warm

and sunny Dominican Republic. With my passion for diving I started working for

Northern Coast Aquasports, S.A.

When the opportunity of taking over the dive center came, I did not have to think

long. Always ready for a new challenge I took over on the 23rd of

November 2006. I will continue the way Brad and Patricia ran the dive center.

CUSTOMER SERVICE, QUALITY AND SAFETY will always be #1!

Myself and my professionally trained staff will be there to make your holiday an

unforgettable one. We hope to see you soon!
