MANGROVES / LAGUNA GRI GRI
 

2-TANK DIVE trip to Laguna Gri Gri - We have pleasure in announcing our 2-Tank dive trip to Rio San Juan on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Rio San Juan is located one hour east of our dive shop in Sosua. The trip out to the Ocean and the dive sites is through the magnificent mangrove forest at Laguna Gri Gri. This in itself is worth the trip. You board your waiting boat and within minutes you are cruising through the laguna Gri Gri heading down river towards the sea. The dive sites are within a 20 minute boat ride from the boarding area in Rio San Juan and range in depth from 12 to 30 meters. There is loads to see in both coral formations and sea creatures like huge colorful fan corals, sponges, moray eels, sting ray, barracuda and loads of tiny creatures too. At the end of the dive you cruise back down the river and you are treated to a typical Dominican lunch near the Mangroves.

A late afternoon drive back to Sosua with a road-side stop over to buy local Almonds and a Coconut refresher finishes the perfect day. Why don't you join us on our next excursion! The trip includes 2 dives, tanks, weights, BCD and regulator and lunch.

Caverns of Cabrera -  You can't be first....,but you can be next! Captivate the trail to this rustic setting, secluded in natural wonder, Caverns "El Dudu", one and half hour east of Sosua in the lower range of the coastal mountains. Enter thru the fresh clean water lagoon where the visibility is an astonishing 50 meters (160+ ft.). The Caverns offers a number of different eco systems, natural splendours just waiting to be discovered. This prime site lets you take advantage of luxuriant scenery of cliffs and trees for a dramatic picture window. For the seasoned cave diver, this excursion is an absolute must; for the advanced diver, the uncovered caverns are a brilliant introduction to the mystery and allure of cave diving.The trip includes the typical lunch (comida criolla) at "Restaurant Parador de Todo".
